Notorious Big had a parade when he died. Tupac had nothing.

It’s no secret that Tupac Shakur, or as he later called himself, Makaveli, never had a funeral service after his alleged death. There were talks about a funeral service being scheduled in Atlanta, Georgia, but apparently that was canceled.

To this day, there haven’t been any public parades or celebrations for Tupac, at least not brought to light by mainstream media. This is quite strange based on the fact that he had (and still has) a multitude of loyal fans from around the world.

In comparison, Biggy Smalls, also known as Notorious B.I.G., had a parade in Brooklyn for his funerals. Thousands of fans everywhere celebrated Biggy’s life, and rightfully so, for he was (and continues to be) one of the greatest rappers of all time.

There’s no real reason why Tupac never had a funeral. His millions of fans haven’t rightfully celebrated this superstar’s life, as opposed to any other celebrity that dies before their time. At the end of the day, the lack of a funeral just perpetuates the conspiracy rumors that Tupac is still alive. Maybe the world will end without an answer, but regardless of whether Tupac is dead or alive, a celebration of his life and body of work is still needed.

June 16 is Tupac’s birthday. Maybe his fans will remember this and do something about it this year?
